When I was a little girl I wanted to either be a cowboy, an archeologist or an astronaut. I had many dreams and wishes, but the two I remember most were never to grow up and to make children's books.
As a daughter of two karate masters, my life was very active. From the youngest age I trained sports (acrobatics, finswimming and karate!) and was competing all over Europe. In 2000 I won two gold medals at the World Karate Championships in Lisbon, Portugal! Despite such adventurous childhood, drawing was the thing that I was most passionate about.
So one day, I simply decided to pack my bags and move to the UK to study. In 2011 I completed BA with Hons in Illustration at the University of Wolverhampton and was honored Dean's Prize for Excellence in Visual Communications and was chosen one of Highly Commended Students at the D&AD New Blood Show. Soon after that, I moved to Cambridge and in 2014 have successfully completed Master's degree in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Arts.
In 2013 the book I illustrated, “Oh! What a Tangle”, published by Digital Leaf, was awarded the Golden Pinwheel award for best International children’s book at Shanghai Children's Book Fair! So far I was very lucky to be working with lovely clients all over the world and keep making my dream come true every day. I founded baby clothes brand for which I designed and illustrated all the outfits.
I live with my two little kids and one totally grown up husband in my hometown - Torun, Poland. I can not sit still fora long time so in my free time I enjoy running in the forest, yoga, fitness and windsurfing.
